About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Facility Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of buildings, grounds and mobile equipment at the site. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe,
compliant, and highly functional environment for our employees and equipment. This role involves coordinating preventative maintenance, overseeing contractors, and supporting daily operational needs
across our facility.
Your tasks
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, policies and procedures
- Promote and support safety and quality programs as an active member of the Leadership Group
- Uphold safety reporting standards and drive continuous improvements in workplace safety
- Maintain and implement lockout/tagout procedures daily, ensuring completion of safe work permits and required documentation before commencing any work
- Coordinate routine maintenance and emergency repairs across plant buildings and grounds.
- Liaise with external contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely, high quality work
- Assist with project planning and facility upgrades.
- Respond to internal service requests and manage work order tracking through CMMS.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address safety hazards or maintenance needs.
- Coordinate seasonal and weather-related preparations (e.g., snow removal, HVAC transitions).
- All other job duties assigned by management.
Your profile
- Ontario Secondary School graduation diploma
- Post-secondary education in facilities management, engineering technology, building operations, or related field.
- 2-4 years’ experience in facility coordination or industrial maintenance support.
- Good skills in SAP and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, fire systems, plumbing)
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities
- Confident, collaborative personality
- Helpful and reliable work ethic to support a team-based environment
