Are you passionate about contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable world? Join our team as a Customer Service Representative at our Walker Gro-Bark Office & Processing Facility in Caledon, ON. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for all aspects of the order process. This individual is an integral part of the Customer Service and Logistics Team. It is imperative to be able to prioritize critical and urgent tasks in a logical and efficient manner to ensure daily activity flows smoothly in an organized manner. The CSR should be customer service oriented in order to provide a positive experience while interfacing with customers, drivers, and suppliers. This is a permanent, full-time position (Monday–Friday) offering stability, growth, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the environmental industry. We offer a salary range from $55,000 to $58,000, based on experience and qualification.
What you will be doing:
- Oversee and execute all aspects of the order entry process, ranging from order entry to the ship confirmation stage.
- Assist with managing traffic flow in yard, maintaining records for all inbound and outbound materials.
- Liaison directly with customers and sales reps to keep them informed of delivery schedules in order to set realistic expectations and meet customer demands.
- Collaborate with the dispatch team to identify any delayed loads and ensure that customers are notified of changes in delivery schedules.
- Maintain adequate understanding of various shipping sites and customer locations around Ontario, in order to efficiently enter orders.
- Perform various administrative duties such as filing, responding to or redirecting email and phone inquiries as needed.
- Troubleshoot for data entry errors and monitor incorrect entries in Oracle.
- Assist in other areas of the business that are involved in the dispatching process, including working closely with the Logistics, Purchasing and Sales teams.
Here’s What You Need:
- 1-3 years’ experience in customer service, ideally in a fast-pased or industrial/environmental setting.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word); Experience with Oracle software is an asset.
- Strong initiative, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem resolution.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving skills.
- Must possess a valid G-Class Driver’s License.
