About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Assistant with a multi-faceted skill set to support our finance team. This role goes beyond traditional accounting tasks, encompassing administrative support, cross-departmental collaboration, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and reconcile vendor statements.
  • General Ledger Support: Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.
  • Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry into accounting systems.
  • Administrative Support: Provide clerical support to the finance team, including document preparation, filing, and scheduling.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to ensure smooth financial workflows.

What you offer

  • Certification or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting or finance support role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Workday) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Comprehensive analysis and reconciliations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems and digital document management tools.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are an asset.
