Role Description This full-time Machine Operator role is an on-site position located in Hawkesbury, ON. The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring rope and cordage manufacturing machinery to meet production specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include loading materials, adjusting machine settings, inspecting output for quality, and performing basic maintenance and cleaning to keep equipment in good working order. The role also involves using hand tools as needed, following work orders, documenting production activities, and collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow. The Machine Operator is expected to follow all safety procedures, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability in machine operation and working safely with production machinery. Experience with quality control, including inspecting products and following ISO or similar standards. Comfort using basic hand tools for setup, adjustments, and routine equipment maintenance. Effective communication skills for reporting issues, following instructions, and coordinating with team members. Previous manufacturing or industrial experience is an asset, especially in textiles or rope/cordage production. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced production environment. Attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn new processes and equipment. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant technical or vocational training is an advantage.
