The CDT Finance Manager acts as a strategic business partner to the Sales team, offering financial direction and leadership. This role involves using financial analysis to boost profitability and enhance demand from Colgate customers in a cost-effective manner. Key aspects include managing the Customer(s) P&L, overseeing Gross-to-Net (GtN), conducting financial analysis, and tracking working capital. You must be adaptable to a dynamic business environment, possess a strong understanding of business drivers, and be able to translate customer strategy into actionable financial plans. You will provide fact-based financial recommendations and effectively communicate the business narrative to cross-functional partners and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and proper documentation of financial reporting, adherence to corporate policies and strategies, and compliance with all accounting principles.
Responsibilities:

Actively participating in account planning and business reviews

Full involvement in customer negotiations

Recommending changes to account business plans based on ROI analysis

Staying informed on competitive merchandising strategies, pricing, promotions, and spending levels

Ensuring account plan changes support customer strategies and corporate goals
-
Performing financial modeling for new items, special packs, and new go-to-market strategies
-
Developing, communicating, and monitoring financial KPIs to achieve projected Average Selling Price (ASP) and Net Margin targets by brand and customer

Monitoring promotional and pricing activity to ensure investments are implemented effectively
-
Analyzing monthly actuals versus financial estimates, identifying risks/opportunities, and communicating these to cross-functional teams via the Month-End Closing and Monthly Discipline Process

Managing the development, integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the budget, Latest Estimate (LE), and P&L
-
Monitoring the trade investment clearing process and ensuring timely resolution of all customer deductions
Required Qualifications:

8+ years relevant Accounting/Financial experience
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
-
Very strong analytical skills and system /Excel, SAP, Google Workspace proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Commercial Finance experience
- CPA/MBA
- Ability to manage multiple activities and set priorities
- Strong communication skills as well as ability to clearly present financial issues are essential
- Proven ability to think creatively and display the initiative to generate ideas and improve result
