About the role
En tant que Gestionnaire principal des ventes , vous fournirez une orientation stratégique et un leadership progressif afin d’atteindre les objectifs de ventes et de rentabilité dans plusieurs sites ou dans un site de grande envergure générant un chiffre d’affaires supérieur à 50 millions de dollars ou présentant une complexité importante. Vous gérerez une équipe de collaborateurs directs ayant généralement des responsabilités managériales.
Responsabilités :
- Élaborer et gérer les plans de vente afin d’assurer la satisfaction des clients, l’atteinte des quotas attribués, la fidélisation de comptes de référence et le maintien d’un personnel hautement qualifié et motivé.
- Collaborer avec le marketing pour développer et mettre en œuvre des programmes et initiatives de vente et de marketing.
- Déterminer le plan annuel de ventes et de bénéfices bruts en appliquant les stratégies marketing et en analysant les tendances et résultats.
- Établir les objectifs de vente en prévoyant et en développant les quotas par territoire.
- Prévoir le volume de ventes et les profits attendus pour les gammes de produits et les clients existants ou nouveaux.
- Maintenir le volume des ventes, la composition des produits et les prix de vente en suivant l’évolution de l’offre et de la demande, des tendances du marché, des indicateurs économiques et de la concurrence.
- Coordonner le service des commandes en dirigeant les représentants et responsables de comptes sur les devis, propositions, gestion de projets et résolution des plaintes clients.
- Déterminer et ajuster les marges de facturation en surveillant les coûts, la concurrence et les conditions du marché, et en négociant les niveaux de coûts.
- Gérer le personnel de vente en recrutant, sélectionnant, intégrant et formant les employés.
- Maintenir la performance de l’équipe de vente en encadrant les employés, en planifiant, suivant et évaluant les résultats.
- Développer et entretenir des relations avec les principaux clients.
- Maintenir ses connaissances professionnelles et techniques en participant à des ateliers de formation, en consultant des publications spécialisées et en participant à des associations professionnelles.
- Prévoir et communiquer des informations détaillées aux cadres supérieurs de l’entreprise.
- Collaborer avec les services internes pour garantir une expérience client positive.
- Travailler avec les fournisseurs pour maintenir les relations clients, former le personnel et mettre en œuvre les programmes et initiatives marketing.
- Collaborer avec différents services internes pour résoudre les problèmes liés à l’inventaire et aux opérations.
Qualifications :
- Diplôme d’études secondaires ou équivalent requis ; baccalauréat en ventes, administration des affaires, ingénierie ou domaine connexe préféré.
- Minimum 3 ans d’expérience en gestion d’équipe et de programmes de vente.
- Minimum 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle en vente dans un secteur connexe.
- Expérience de 5 ans en gestion d’équipes et de programmes à l’échelle nationale, régionale ou de district (préférée).
- 7 ans d’expérience en vente dans l’industrie concernée (préférée).
- Bonne connaissance des principes de gestion et d’affaires en planification stratégique, allocation des ressources et coordination des équipes.
- Compréhension démontrée des principes et processus liés à la prestation de services clients et personnels (analyse des besoins, respect des normes de qualité, évaluation de la satisfaction).
- Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite, en analyse, en persuasion et en relations interpersonnelles.
- Capacité à faire preuve d’esprit d’équipe, de leadership et de flexibilité.
- Excellentes compétences en gestion du temps et en informatique.
- Capacité à voyager jusqu’à 25 % du temps .
Environnement de travail :
Ventes externes – Le travail s’effectue généralement dans un bureau, mais peut nécessiter des déplacements chez les clients ou dans des entrepôts. As a Senior Manager – Sales, you will provide strategic direction and progressive leadership to achieve sales and profit goals within multiple locations or a largescale location with sales revenue above $50M or significant complexities. You will design and recommend sales and marketing programs and set short and long-term sales strategies. You will manage a team of direct reports who typically have managerial responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and administers sales plans to ensure customer satisfaction, assigned quota attainment, good reference accounts, and highly skilled and motivated staff.
- Partners with marketing to develop and implement sales marketing programs and initiatives.
- Determines annual sales and gross profit plan by implementing marketing strategies and analyzing trends and results.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing sales quota for territories.
- Projects expected sales volume and profit for existing and new product lines and customers.
- Maintains sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with market supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
- Coordinates order service by directing account representatives and executives on quotations, proposals, project order management techniques, and customer complaint resolution.
- Establishes and adjusts billing margin by monitoring costs, competition and market conditions and negotiating cost side levels.
- Manages sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
- Maintains sales staff results by coaching employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
- Develops and maintains relationships with top customers.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.
- Forecasts and communicates intricate details to senior business managers.
- Interfaces with internal support departments to establish positive customer experience.
- Partners with suppliers to maintain customer relationships, provides training to staff, and executes marketing programs and initiatives.
- Partners with various internal departments to troubleshoot issues such as inventory and operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree – Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred
- 3+ years prior experience with managing a sales team and sales programs
- 5+ years prior professional sales experience in related industry
- 5 years managing staff and programs at national, district or regional level preferred
- 7 years related industry professional sales preferred
- Working knowledge of business and management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources
- Demonstrated understanding and execution of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility
- Excellent time management and computer skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Working Environment: Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
Compensation Details $126,094 - $189,140.00 Annually
This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan. Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of the total compensation package.
