About the role

Temporary position for 12 months

As a legal and regulatory compliance advisor, you help design, institute and coordinate the compliance framework and enforce related rules. You help ensure that measures and actions—such as the behaviour of the organization’s senior management and employees toward third parties—comply with Desjardins Group’s standards (including those related to anti-money laundering). You advise and assist clients and partners as part of intervention and development initiatives. You develop tools, methods and processes. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You propose recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You share ideas and help solve problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Therefore, highly developed interpersonal skills are essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes.
  • Help develop and implement objectives, solutions, policies, programs and action plans.
  • Analyze data, conduct studies, make recommendations and write reports.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
