Reports to: Operations Leader
Responsibilities
-
Direct and coordinate all daily sanitation activities within and surrounding the processing plant.
-
Ensure that staff are informed of corporate safety requirements and properly trained in best practices, MSDS, and the proper use of personal protective equipment.

Implement all GMP and HACCP procedures that relate to cleanliness, food safety and pest control with the facility.
-
Responsible for daily scheduling, efficient resource allocation, and supervision of the sanitation team to ensure all procedures are followed.

Coordinate the completion of all required sanitation or maintenance required by the master sanitation schedule, and/or end of week sanitation activities.

Complete daily sanitation logs, performance reports and shift paperwork.

Develop, implement, and manage all monitoring forms, records, and documentation to comply with all requirements.

Manage and maintain supply of cleaning chemicals necessary for the operation of the cleaning program and in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.

Provide direct supervision to sanitation staff including discretionary authority to determine methods of work.

Observe all safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.

Maintain strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.

Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.

Other duties as assigned.
Profile
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- 5+ years of experience in knowledge of food sanitation operations in a manufacturing industry
- Skill in organization, analysis, time management, prioritization, multitask, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and service
- Good interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of management
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills to mentor and lead staff
- NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit
