Vault Credit Corporation is a leading financial services firm specializing in providing innovative credit solutions to our clients. We are committed to excellence and are looking for a dedicated Senior Accounting & Tax Analyst to join our team.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting & Tax Analyst to manage and oversee tax filings and full-cycle accounting for various entities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with T1, T2, T3, T4, and T5 returns and will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of complex investments that include but are not limited to real estate, financial instruments, trusts and limited partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file T1, T2, T3, T4, and T5 tax returns accurately and on time.
- Manage full-cycle accounting for various entities.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies.
- Proactively identify potential tax risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated with the latest tax laws and accounting practices.
- Analyze investment performance and summarize performance to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial and investment reporting.
Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is preferred)
- Completion of, or working towards, a CPA designation; completion of CFE examination and working towards relevant practical experience requirements will also be considered
- 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting or tax experience
- Working knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act
