About the role
Founded in Vancouver, Canada in 2003, Plenty of Fish is one of the early pioneers in the online dating industry, with one of the largest and most diverse communities of singles. We're one of the top revenue-driving brands in the Match Group (comprised of Tinder, OkCupid, Hinge and Match.com).
We love what we do, and have the ability to profoundly impact millions of people's lives every single day! Named one of BC’s Top Employers, Plenty of Fish is a great place to build friendships, grow your career and collaborate with top talent.
We work hybrid at Plenty of Fish - IRL in our downtown Vancouver office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and work remotely the remainder of the week! (Please note that there may be some roles that require more than 3 days.)
We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Monetization Pod, driving business-critical insights and shaping the future of how Plenty of Fish creates value for users and the company. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a strategic thinker who’s comfortable operating in ambiguity, can move fast, and proactively identify opportunities for impact.
As a key player in an experimentation-driven environment, you’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth, optimize pricing and feature uptake, and identify new monetization levers. You’ll also collaborate with analysts across engagement, marketing, and trust & safety to ensure a unified view of the user experience.
What You'll Do:
- Monetization Experimentation – Design and analyze A/B tests to optimize pricing strategies, feature adoption, and subscription conversion.
- Insight Generation – Analyze large-scale datasets to identify monetization opportunities, behavioral patterns, and friction points.
- Strategic Storytelling – Translate complex data into compelling, actionable insights for cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Opportunity Discovery – Drive impact by proactively identifying new questions and value areas before they’re asked.
- Cross-Functional Impact – Work with Engagement, Marketing, and Trust & Safety pods to balance user experience and monetization goals.
- Fast Execution – Adapt quickly, iterate on analyses, and prioritize ruthlessly in a dynamic environment with evolving business needs.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years in a data analytics role, preferably in consumer tech, e-commerce, gaming, or other revenue-driven platforms.
- Experience working with raw telemetry event data and datasets with 100M+ rows.
- Expertise in A/B testing design, execution, and interpretation.
- Proficiency in SQL, and experience using Python for advanced analytics.
- Strong business acumen and product intuition—you understand the “why” behind the data.
- Excellent communication skills, you’re confident presenting insights to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Comfortable working in gray areas, self-starting, and taking initiative without waiting for explicit direction.
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
**We would love to hear from you, even if you don't match 100% of the requirements**
