About the role

Location: Calgary, Toronto (hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time

We’re looking for a highly analytical, hands‑onManager, FP&Ato join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll drive financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the organization, helping translate strategy into actionable insights that guide decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the development and coordination of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for assigned business units.
  • Maintain and enhance financial models that reflect performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with functional leaders to validate assumptions and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Support rolling forecasts and scenario analyses to optimize planning accuracy.

Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, including detailed variance analysis.
  • Analyze key financial and operational drivers and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Deliver clear, succinct insights to help leaders understand performance and guide decision‑making.
  • Support executive reporting through high‑quality analysis and presentation materials.

Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted finance advisor to departments such as Operations, Sales, and Corporate Functions.
  • Provide financial guidance on cost management, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
  • Translate complex financial concepts into actionable recommendations for non‑finance stakeholders.

Process Improvement & FP&A Enablement

  • Recommend and implement improvements to FP&A processes, templates, and reporting efficiencies.
  • Help standardize forecasting, planning, and reporting practices across the organization.
  • Support enhancements to financial systems, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Contribute to the documentation of best practices and process workflows.

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Mentor and review work produced by Analysts and Senior Analysts as needed.
  • Guide team members on modeling standards, analytical methodologies, and data storytelling.
  • Work closely with Accounting to ensure alignment between actuals and planning views.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles.
  • Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP and BI tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and leading projects or initiatives end‑to‑end, from problem definition through execution and delivery.
  • Proven ability to operate with limited direction, taking accountability for outcomes and proactively driving work forward once objectives are set.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing deadlines, and deliver high‑quality outputs independently.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate financial insights clearly for non‑finance partners.

Salary: $120,000-135,000
