Summary
Pac Seafood Port hardy is looking to add some key personnel to our team! We are looking for lead hands/supervisors for processing and Value Creation and Quality.
These are key roles supporting efforts to maintain and improve the quality of our products. This position involves maintaining regulatory compliance and implementing process improvements and is ideal for someone who is analytical, adaptable, and organized.
Key Responsibilities
Guide and instruct team members
Ensure all tally paperwork is filled out in full and checked for accuracy. Maintain HACCP records for all products received, processed, and packed/repacked at the facility. Ensure we are meeting regulatory requirements and customer’s expectations.
Assist in all plant quality activities
Conduct product tracking and traceability. Provide support on customer complaints. Responsible for achievement of department goals and objectives. Maintain a positive attitude and consistently look for opportunities for improvement Prepare and submit reports as required. Ensure appropriate sanitation SOP's are followed. Assist on the food safety and quality training program. Identify, investigate, and report on critical quality defects on production processes and products. Document quality checks of product through the entire process.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.
Education And Experience
What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Required
Minimum of two-years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Be available early and weekends as needed. Experience identifying and grading fish by species and quality. Experience with processing lines & equipment.
Preferred
Spanish speaking skills
Forklift operating Cleaning & Sanitation Previous quality assurance experience in the food industry.

Duties
The working environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to:
Cold storage warehouse environment or outdoors. Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment. Plant exposure to wet, cold, and/or humid temperatures. Standard office equipment and heavy machinery.
