  • Identify and manage integration risks and dependencies related to device deployment, clinical workflows, and interoperability.
  • Provide expertise in healthcare interoperability, advising on FHIR APIs, EMR integration strategies, and technical solution design.
  • Ensure efficient patient record exchange while maintaining compliance with privacy and security regulations.
  • Support digital health solutions and patient engagement platforms (e.g., Ocean by CognisantMD) to enhance data collection and clinical workflows.
  • Enhance health data reporting and analytics frameworks to strengthen evidence-based, data-driven decision-making.

WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Clinical background in hospital, clinic, or allied health settings, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Care, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, digital health, or health IT, with exposure to system implementations, large-scale transformation, or interoperability initiatives.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, OSCAR) and strong knowledge of interoperability standards (FHIR APIs, HL7).
  • Experience with digital health tools such as patient portals and engagement platforms (e.g., Ocean by CognisantMD), combined with knowledge of healthcare regulations (PHIPA, PIPEDA, HIPAA) and reporting requirements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to bridge clinical, technical, and policy teams and support change adoption through workflow documentation and process mapping.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a track record of improving healthcare outcomes and adaptability in dynamic, evolving environments.
  • Experience with Oracle Health/Cerner implementations or similar clinical information systems would be an asset.
  • Previous work on health system transformation projects or large-scale digital health rollouts would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge clinical and technical teams in health IT or digital health contexts would be an asset
