About the role
Lead the Shop That Keeps Our Customers Moving
Being a Shop Foreman at Flaman isn’t just about turning wrenches or assigning jobs — it’s about being the technical backbone of the shop and the leader your technicians rely on every day. You’re the one on the floor, solving problems, guiding repairs, and keeping the shop running safely, efficiently, and to Flaman’s high standards.
At Flaman, we believe that strong leadership creates strong teams. In this role, you’ll blend hands-on expertise with in-shop leadership to ensure every unit that leaves the bay is ready to perform. If you’re someone who enjoys working on equipment, supporting technicians, and raising the bar in the shop, this is the role for you.
A Day in the Life
You’re not just directing the work — you’re in it. Expect to:
- Provide on-the-floor leadership and mentorship to technicians while supporting complex diagnostics and repairs
- Assign and coordinate daily work orders to keep the shop running smoothly
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, offer technical guidance, and ensure repairs are completed accurately
- Provide insight & direction into the estimation of complex service engagements
- Maintain shop safety standards, procedures, and cleanliness
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all work meets Flaman expectations
- Communicate with customers regarding repair timelines, issues, fault-finding, and recommendations
- Collaborate with the Aftermarket teams to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
- Train new technicians and help develop the skills of the existing team
- Represent Flaman’s values: customer responsibility, achievement of goals, and making things better
You’re the person on the floor making sure every job gets done — and gets done right.
You’re the Right Fit If…
- You’re a hands-on leader who thrives in a busy shop environment
- You bring strong technical experience (agriculture or trailer equipment is an asset)
- You’re confident diagnosing issues and guiding others through repairs
- You can balance productivity, safety, and quality without losing sight of the customer
- You’re organized and calm, even when juggling multiple jobs or urgent repairs
- You enjoy coaching technicians and helping them grow
- You take pride in a clean, efficient, and well-run shop
What You’ll Get
- Competitive salary
- Benefits Package & RRSP Match
- A team that respects your technical knowledge and leadership
- Opportunities for training and certification
- The chance to directly impact shop performance and customer satisfaction
- The fulfillment of knowing your work keeps customers — and communities — moving
Ready to Lead the Shop?
If you’re a skilled technician with a leadership mindset and a passion for running an efficient, safe, high-performing shop, we’d love to hear from you.
