Job Summary

Introba is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper to support CopperTree Analytics (a Sidara company) and Introba’s international operations.

This role will primarily support CopperTree Analytics (approximately three days per week) and will also assist Introba (approximately two days per week), including payroll and accounting support for Introba Ireland and Serbia.

The successful candidate will be employed by Introba and report directly to the VP, Finance.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities- CopperTree Analytics (Primary Focus):

  • Prepare general journal entries, accruals, and allocations (AR, AP, prepaid expenses, amortization, payroll, employee expenses, revenue, unearned revenue, benefits, etc.)

  • Perform account reconciliations

  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations

  • Manage invoicing and maintain project lists

  • Perform revenue recognition

  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including:

    • Balance sheets
    • Income statements
    • DAR financial reports
    • Internal CopperTree reports
  • Manage Accounts Payable (vendor invoices, rent payments, purchase orders, etc.)

  • Manage Accounts Receivable (customer follow-up, credits, collections, issuing statements, cheque scanning)

  • Support GST/PST remittances and corporate tax return preparation

  • Ensure compliance with CRA and provincial regulations

  • Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors

  • Handle miscellaneous administrative finance duties (business licensing, annual reporting, insurance)

  • Collect and process cheques from Surrey office (1–2 times per week)

Introba Support (International)

  • Assist with running the books for Introba Ireland and Serbia
  • Support payroll processing
  • Provide general accounting support as required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting or senior bookkeeping experience
  • Strong full-cycle accounting experience
  • Experience preparing monthly financial statements
  • Experience with Canadian tax compliance (GST/PST, CRA)
  • Experience supporting audits
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting multiple entities or international operations considered an asset
  • CPA designation (or pursuing) considered an asset but not required

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across two organizations
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with external auditors and stakeholders
  • Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems

Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid role
  • Required to attend CopperTree’s Surrey office at least once per week
  • Some flexibility in scheduling depending on operational needs.

Additional Information

Introba is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $71,000 - $105,000 annually for this position and local market.
