Your Next Challenge Reporting to the Exploration General Supervisor, you will be part of the Exploration Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Support management with planning, implementing, and monitoring of exploration programs
- Assist with 3D-modeling and geological interpretation
- Create, validate and implement various Standard Operating Procedures
- Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets (annual and life-of-mine)
- Participate in employee evaluations and facilitate training and mentoring
- Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals
- Oversee core logging practices and supervise the collection and validation of geological data (sampling methods, drillhole logging)
- Ensure all Agnico Eagle’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies are respected by all employees and contractors at all work sites
- Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure the safe and efficient execution of planned exploration activities
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years of exploration experience
- Significant experience in building and supervising teams is an asset
- Must be a member of a Professional Association in a Canadian province or territory
- Knowledge of Leapfrog Geo, DHLogger/Fusion and Datamine
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days off, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
