What does this role look like?
Purpose
The Manager, HR Systems & Data Analytics supports business operations, provides workforce data, development of system automations, and enable insightful analytics for decision-making. The manager will work collaboratively with HR leadership, business stakeholders, and IT partners to deliver scalable HR technology solutions, robust reporting, and continuous process improvements.
Accountability
The Manager, HR Systems & Data Analytics is accountable for the overall strategy, management, and optimization of the organization’s HR technology platforms, with primary ownership of the PeopleSoft 9.2 HCMsystem.
What will you do?
Major Responsibilities
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop HR Systems and Data Analytics team.
- Recruit, select, hire, supervise, evaluate and carry out employee disciplinary actions, including terminations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align systems and processes.
- Partner closely with HR leaders to identify system and data needs.
- Drive change management, user adoption, and training for HR technology enhancements.
- Participate in projects which impact the ability to produce or provide access to reliable CBE data to ensure that the needs of HR and its customers are considered.
- Promote continuous improvement by staying informed on HR technology trends, best practices, and innovations.
HR Systems
- Provide leadership support for PeopleSoft.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for PeopleSoft vendor relationships and support services.
- Oversee system upgrades, patches, testing, and new module implementations.
- Monitor system performance and partner with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot, resolve system issues, and deliver new functionality.
- Ensure system security, and compliance with applicable legislation and data regulations.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Lead a team to develop and maintain HR reporting and workforce analytics.
- Utilize technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze CBE wide employee and other cross-functional data as needed.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of appropriate computerized systems and/or processes for recording and presenting HR transactions and the development of various measures and indicators.
- Use PeopleSoft Query, SQL, Power BI, R and other reporting tools to deliver business requirements through developing automations, queries and dashboards.
- Use technology to automate business processes for HR.
- Create, maintain, and ensure quality assurance of key human resources data sets, reports, metrics and automations.
- Define and implement data governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of HR data.
- Support executive leadership with strategic workforce planning and decision-making through data storytelling.
- Provide trending, preparation of collective bargaining reporting and ad hoc reporting.
- Serves as the domain expert for human capital analytics.
Continuous Improvement & Optimization
- Partner with HR leaders to streamline processes and enhance system usage.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual HR processes and improve user experience.
- Lead change management and training efforts for HR system updates and new functionality.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- A degree either in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline coupled with 10 years applicable leadership, systems, analysis and/or reporting experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in PeopleSoft HCM
- Proven experience with HR data analytics, metrics development, and advanced reporting tools (PeopleSoft Query, SQL, Power BI, R or equivalent).
- Demonstrated success managing HR system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Significant Microsoft Office experience including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing high performing teams.
- Experience working with multiple unions.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies
- Leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing team.
- In-depth understanding of HR processes, HR compliance, and workforce data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- High attention to detail, data accuracy, and system compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
