About the role
At Securiguard our mission is to make people feel safe. As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety to our stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring CCTV systems and operating security control room equipment, controlling access to the site, reporting any hazards or security breaches, and responding to incidents.
Requirements:
- 1.5 year of security experience/ 1 year of security supervisory experience, preferably in a Healthcare, Mall/Retail, Campus, Commercial, Gov't environment, and/or a diploma in the field of security or law enforcement
- Supervisor experience is preferred/an asset
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Standard First AidLevel C CPR with AED
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfort with two-way radio communication/dispatch and/or CCTV software
- Approaches a situation with a listening mindset and empathy
- Capable of standing and walking for a duration of up to 12 hours
- Ability to problem solve, effective with crowd management and use discretion and good judgment
- Use of force training and/or Military/Law Enforcement background is an asset.
