Summary
The Senior Advisor, Business Intelligence provides data and analytics support for Enbridge Gas initiatives, with a focus on Integrated Resource Planning (IRP). This role partners with clients to understand business needs, deliver analytical solutions, guide junior analysts, support data quality standards, and advance analytics capabilities through special projects and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
Lead complex analytical initiatives from end to end, including defining problem statements, guiding data exploration, developing hypotheses, structuring analyses, and validating methods, findings, and recommendations. Lead and support the development, application, and validation of statistical regression and prediction models using large and complex datasets to support forecasting and scenario analysis. Manage model performance, optimization, and ongoing validation to ensure analytical output remains accurate, reliable, and business-relevant. Develop and maintain complex Databricks dashboards that support business validation of regression models and related analytical solutions. Support business users in validating complex machine learning model outputs using Excel or similar tools. Guide exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support strategic planning and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field; an advanced degree is considered an asset. 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, statistical analysis, or a related field. Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and R, with experience working with complex datasets and maintaining data environments. Experience with Microsoft Azure Databricks and other modern analytics platforms. Experience applying advanced analytics and machine learning techniques, including predictive modelling, forecasting, and statistical analysis. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a client-focused approach. Proven ability to build effective relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders.
Working Conditions
This role is based in a typical office environment. Travel is required approximately 5% of the time, with most travel occurring within Ontario.
Scope and Dimensions
Revenue generation and cost savings: Support internal and external clients with data and analytics to help achieve business goals, annual revenue targets, and cost-saving objectives. Processes: Ensure adherence to established BI and client processes while continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Relationship management: Build and maintain relationships with key internal clients, EGI IT, external vendors, government agencies, and municipal partners to ensure Enbridge policies and processes are clearly articulated and the Enbridge brand is protected. Data privacy and protection: Ensure customer and confidential information is protected in accordance with GDAR and other regulatory requirements.

Internal Relationships Distribution Optimization Engineering: Provide valuable data insights and support model building. Frequency: ongoing or as required. EGI IT: Support BI needs related to environment maintenance, IT-system vendor engagements, solution development, data integrity, and appropriate access to owned resources. External Relationships
Consultant – Dunsky: Explain models, clarify questions, and gather input for improvements. Frequency: ongoing or as required.
