About the role
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate directly with hiring managers supporting the hiring needs at the Branch level. This role will determine the right selection criteria and process for high-volume hiring needs across multiple departments and functions. Using a consultative approach, the Specialist will work with our leaders to understand their business and hiring needs, while guiding them through the end-to-end recruitment process.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will position the company as the employer of choice to target potential candidates.
Key Responsibilities:

Help develop, recommend and implement the area of recruitment and retention.

Facilitate the full cycle recruitment process, managing the entire candidate experience from start to finish.

Establish positive working relationships with hiring managers and develop a strong understanding of their business needs in order to identify the most appropriate candidate solutions.

Monitor all active job postings to ensure they remain updated on all job boards and other sites as needed.

Ensure and maintain job descriptions are updated and accurate relating to roles.

Post job descriptions on internal and external recruiting sites and conduct talent searches from multiple candidate sources.

Establish candidate networks and continually canvass the market for key position talent, as well as being able to discover & develop new recruiting avenues.

Schedule interviews, participate in interviews, and coordinate interview-related events.

Work closely with HR to prepare and communicate employment offers upon identifying suitable candidates.

Prepare job offers and send out to potential new hires.

Prepare new associate to begin work, including scheduling orientation sessions, answering associate questions, sending pre-employment paperwork, managing returned paperwork, preparing manager to orient associate, etc.

Conduct exit interviews and reported trends to management.

Participate and support Human Resources projects.

Participate in Career and Job Fairs. Participate and collaborate in Recruitment initiatives.

Manage candidates through the Applicant Tracking System

Comfortable with generating reports as needed

Provide regular recruitment updates to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor & HR/ Payroll Manager.

Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences; a demonstrated passion for talent acquisition and onboarding.
- HR experience, preferably with recruitment and onboarding would be an as.
- Experience working with ATS’s and recruiting processes; experience with UKG Recruiting module is an asset; experience working with skilled trades and/or the industrial sector is an asset.
- Proactive orientation with a desire to drive and ensure a positive customer experience
- Strong attention to detail, and effective organizational and communication skills for a fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities.
- Willing and able to travel (as may be necessary) to participate and represent Toromont at Recruiting events.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00
