We are seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Senior Tunnel/Geostructural Engineer to join our growing Tunnels Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and impactful underground infrastructure projects across Canada and internationally. With a strong and expanding portfolio of major tunnel and underground projects, we offer long-term career growth, technical challenges, and the opportunity to help shape the future of transportation and infrastructure. As a Senior Tunnel/Geostructural Engineer, your responsibilities will include
Performing geotechnical and geostructural analyses and developing design solutions for tunnels, shafts, deep excavations, retaining structures, and other underground systems. Interpreting geotechnical investigation data, developing ground models, and establishing engineering parameters to support design and risk assessments. Preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and design documentation in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Developing and reviewing numerical models (e.g., finite element and finite difference analyses) to evaluate ground behaviour, soil-structure interaction, deformation, and stability. Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and supporting their professional development. Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, environmental, and construction professionals. Supporting construction activities through review of contractor submittals, responses to RFIs, and site-related technical input. Contributing to project planning, scheduling, quality management, and successful delivery of project milestones. Building strong client relationships, participating in project meetings, and developing practical, innovative engineering solutions. Supporting business development activities, including proposal preparation, scope development, and engineering cost estimates
The successful candidate will bring the following skills, experience and qualifications to the role:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is considered an asset. 10–15 years of experience in geotechnical and/or structural engineering design and construction related to tunnels, shafts, underground structures, and geostructural systems. Advanced proficiency with geotechnical and structural analysis software such as PLAXIS, Rocscience, SAP2000, or equivalent tools. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in British Columbia, or the ability to obtain registration within six months. Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, structural behaviour, excavation support systems, and ground-structure interaction. Excellent communication, problem-solving, project coordination, and organizational skills. A passion for underground infrastructure and a desire to contribute to complex, technically challenging projects.

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range. The expected salary range for this position is from $126,000 - $155,000. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
