About the role

The Canada Strategy & Transformation team is recruiting for a Strategy Intern to support high-priority transformation and strategic initiatives across Manulife Canada. The team works across Canada’s businesses and functions, partnering with senior leaders to shape Manulife Canada’s long-term strategy and advance key initiatives that support growth, execution, and business performance. Team members gain a unique vantage point into some of the most important strategic decisions in the Canadian market, while also connecting with Manulife’s global network of strategy professionals across businesses and functions. The Strategy Intern will support research, analysis, and synthesis to help inform the development and execution of strategic projects. Working closely with members of the Canada Strategy & Transformation team, the intern will help generate insights on business performance, market dynamics, industry trends, competitive activity, and strategic opportunities. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that help advance Manulife Canada’s strategic objectives. Responsibilities Support team members in advancing Manulife Canada’s transformation agenda and strategic priorities through research, analysis, and project support Assist in developing insights and materials that help business and function leaders evaluate strategic growth opportunities Conduct research and analysis on industry trends, market positioning, customer needs, and competitive activity to support recommendations Synthesize findings into clear, well-structured presentations, summaries, and discussion materials for stakeholders Collaborate with Strategy peers and cross-functional partners across Manulife, supporting effective coordination, governance, and execution where applicable Required Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or MBA program in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information and develop practical insights Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present ideas clearly and concisely Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ownership mindset Nice-to-have Prior internship, consulting, strategy, finance, or business-related experience Experience developing presentation materials, synthesizing research, or communicating recommendations to stakeholders Leadership experience through student clubs, case competitions, volunteer roles, or other extracurricular activities The role being advertised is an existing vacancy.
