Position Summary
Are you a Medical Laboratory Assistant looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Laboratory department.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technologist, Laboratory, the Laboratory Assistant performs a variety of duties to assist the Medical Technologists with the operation of the Laboratory.

Houston is known as the world’s Steelhead fishing capital, and is proud to be the home to Canada’s largest fly rod. The main industries in Houston are forestry and tourism. Population of about 3,600 local residents with 2,000 additional residents in the surrounding area and there are two elementary schools, one secondary school as well as a K-12 Christian School. Qualifications

Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Lab Assistant training program plus one (1) year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
-
Ability to deal with others effectively.
-
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
-
Ability to organize work.
-
Ability to operate related equipment.
-
Ability to type at 25 w. p. m.
