About the role
Position: Senior LDAP / Directory Services Consultant
Location: 100% Remote
Job type: 6-month contract, 37.5 hours/week
We're partnering with a large enterprise environment to engage a Senior LDAP & Directory Services Consultant for a critical security and modernization initiative. This contract focuses on strengthening directory services, modernizing secure access, and improving interoperability across enterprise systems.
What You'll Be Doing:

Lead a secure directory services improvement initiative, including remediation and modernization activities

Assess existing LDAP environments and recommend secure configuration and optimization strategies
-
Execute secure protocol migrations to align with modern authentication and security standards
-
Optimize directory performance, replication, and resiliency
-
Support integration between directory services and enterprise identity platforms
-
Strengthen authentication flows using modern identity protocols
-
Identify and remediate directory-level security gaps and vulnerabilities
-
Produce clear technical documentation and communicate impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What We're Looking For:

Deep hands-on experience with enterprise LDAP directory services
-
Proven success delivering secure directory protocol migration projects
-
Strong understanding of authentication frameworks (e.g., Kerberos, SAML, OAuth, etc.)
-
Experience integrating directory services with Active Directory or similar identity platforms
-
Ability to troubleshoot complex directory performance, replication, and security issues
-
Background supporting large-scale, highly available enterprise environments
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical risk into business impact
