The Spirit of the Position:

The Regional Operational Auditor, Operational Audit role provides an unbiased evaluation of processes, systems, and operations, and determines whether internal controls are in place and operating effectively to mitigate risks and ensure that organizational goals and objectives are met. This role reports to the Manager, Operational Audit, and will be responsible for supporting Indigo’s Operational Audit function throughout our Eastern Canada region.

Principal Job Duties**:**

  • Perform independent audits of Indigo Park Canada locations, using advanced analytical techniques to identify potential fraud, theft, and revenue leakage.
  • Protect Indigo Park Canada and its clients by exercising independent judgment and making sound recommendations on matters of operational and financial significance.
  • Provide objective and unbiased assessments of employee performance and location operations based on audit observations, data analysis, and operational trend reviews.
  • Ensure operations comply with Indigo Park Canada standard operating procedures, internal controls, and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with Senior Regional Management to evaluate and promote operational consistency with Indigo Park Canada policies, procedures, and control standards.
  • Identify areas of risk and recommend appropriate courses of action, supporting the implementation of corrective measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Direct and support procedural changes at on-site operations to mitigate identified risks and prevent potential sources of fraud or theft.
  • Actively participate in Operational Audit Department initiatives, annual conferences, and goal-setting activities as directed by the Manager of Operational Audit.

Skills:

  • Understanding and experience of auditing principles and practices.
  • Must be self-motivated and task-oriented.
  • Must be a strong team player, but also act with integrity and objectivity.
  • Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional.
  • Excellent English and French verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operational Audit / Internal Audit experience preferred.
  • Previous Parking Industry experience strongly preferred.

Travel Requirements:

  • Hybrid role combining remote work with on-site audits at Indigo Park Canada parking locations within the local and regional market.
  • Travel required throughout Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces.
  • Local travel within the Montreal area; a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license are required.
