National Account Manager - Strategic Accounts (Full Time) - Any major Linde location in Canada Primary Purpose The National Account Manager manages a portfolio of business worth ~$25M and will be responsible for growing sales revenues of approximately growth 10% YOY and profits in a specific market area or a key group of customers including the national hospital contracts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for direct sales of company products/services/systems to key customers at a corporate level, generating planned sales revenue from these major accounts
  • Manage National Account portfolio sales to analyze and provide insight on the overall performance of the business
  • Design and interpret key performance metrics and deliver associated insights and recommendations to grow the National accounts across the country
  • Develop and implement best-practices, processes, cadence and dashboards to most effectively keep the sales team focused on priorities while minimizing administrative overhead
  • Responsible for negotiating and gaining National Account Agreements with legal involvement
  • Accountable for achieving sales goals through the expansion of sales within existing customers and targeting new customer sales through corporate level contacts and through utilization of field resources assigned to use points
  • Responsible for financial translation and measurement of decisions, planning and strategies; provides reporting to management
  • Fully understands the needs of the market/industry segment and/or geographic area and works to ensure that Linde Canada Inc acquires a significant portion of the business growth in the segment or area
  • Accountable for identifying, developing and implementing strategies for major accounts.
  • The single point of resolution for customers needs for the assigned market/industry segment and/or geographic area accounts
  • Takes a leadership role in leads generation and new business acquisition for the market/industry segment and/or geographic area
  • Coaches and develops sales team to fulfill the required deliverables
  • Develops valuable relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the assigned market/industry segment and/or geographic area
  • Maintains excellent knowledge of Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. 's nationwide organization, supply/applications technology and product line offerings
  • Develops intelligence network to become aware of warning signs within account base, monitors competitive activity and maintains competitive intelligence databases; takes action quickly to avoid market-share erosion
  • Recognizes account needs that should or could develop into a market offering.
  • Plans and executes sales for major specific regional/national accounts.
  • Participates in high level sales negotiations
  • Works independently in a complex environment
  • Communicates and interfaces well with field level internal organization

Required Qualifications Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Experience

  • 10+ years sales experience is required and experience in similar roles is preferred
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Defined sales process is required
  • Experience negotiating contracts required
  • Experience in market analysis to forecast sales for specific regions
  • Previous experience in using sales databases is a plus
  • Cylinder experience preferred
  • Travel to customer locations is required
