Your Opportunity Our Toronto office is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure & Cloud Operations team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the evolution of cloud technologies (Public, Private, Multi and Hybrid Cloud Services) and responsible for executing the cloud strategy.
  • Work with Enterprise Architect and Solutions Delivery Team to plan and deploy new cloud services
  • Provide leadership and support in maintaining cloud infrastructure systems and Office 365 services
  • Ability to digest new and changing technologies brings to light how they may impact/benefit our organization.
  • Manage and monitor cloud reporting tools to Identify and resolve technical issues, reducing overall downtime
  • Ensure security patches and updates to all systems within the cloud infrastructure are in line with best practices
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, including Azure Site Recovery, as well as failover data center
  • Provide technical leadership for Microsoft EntraID, Security Permissions, DNS, server virtualization and backup.
  • Provide mentorship to peers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as technical, analytical, and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required

Your Experience And Education

  • You have a College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience, or completion of at least 5 years of post-secondary education
  • You have extensive working experience in managing Office 365, MS Teams, Microsoft Azure (IaaS, Saas and PaaS), SharePoint Administration, Azure DevOps, EntraID, multi-domain environments, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, virtualization technologies including storage systems and networking, PowerShell, infrastructure monitoring & alerting technologies
  • You have experience with cost optimizations & governance such as reserved compute and Azure Policy
  • Familiarity with Amazon and Google cloud services
  • Industry certifications in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dev Ops and Office 365 certifications is preferred.
