##Position Description
The Lift Crew / Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating mobile cranes and participating in lift crew activities to support the production and heavy lift operations. This role requires strong attention to safety, the ability to follow lift plans, and experience working in dynamic industrial environments.
Morning Shift:
Monday to Friday - 6:00AM to 2:30PM
##Key Responsibilities
- Operate mobile cranes (appropriate to certification level) in accordance with provincial regulations and company safety standards.
- Perform pre operational inspections.
- Assist with rigging activities, including selecting and inspecting slings, shackles, and other rigging gear.
- Execute lifts according to engineered lift plans and direction from the Lift Supervisor.
- Communicate clearly with spotters, riggers, and site supervisors using radios and standardized hand signals.
- Participate in Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) and toolbox meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of lifts, equipment inspections, and safety records.
- Support general lift crew duties when not operating the crane.
##Required Education & Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Hoisting Equipment Operator Certification (appropriate crane class).
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating cranes in industrial, construction, or energy operations.
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license (asset depending on crane type).
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
