Position Summary:
• Responsible for posting and reconciling each days’ receipts to the patient accounting system for the services provided
• Receive payments and post amounts paid by patients, insurance companies and Misc. deposits to account balances.
• Balance daily receipts and identifies and investigates cash balancing errors from various sources
• Ensures all payments are posted on daily basis and provides daily batch summary report to Finance
• Calculates and posts contractual adjustments and properly applies them against each patient account.
• EFT and WSIB payment positing in HRCM billing system
• Record the day to day cash receipt transactions to ensure that account receivables are maintained in an up to date and current manner and produce daily balanced cash receipt report.
• Accept payments for cosmetic procedure billings
• Balance deposits to bank account
• Perform coin room functions and assist security with change machines and vending machines
• Correspond with bank courier service and bank for coin replenishment
• Assists in process to provide safekeeping of patient valuables
• Process credit card payments according to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS and responsible for posting and reconciling each days’ receipts to the patient accounting system for the services provided
Position Requirements:
• Community College 2 years
• Mandatory 2 year receivable or cash application experience
• Be proficient in meeting regular deadlines
• Excellent data entry, keyboard and excel skills required
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize duties
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Proficient in MSWord, Excel, Outlook , POS and Internet required
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail required
• Knowledge of Privacy Act required
• Good attendance record required
