Job Description RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary The incumbent in the CTMS Implementation position serves as a specialist for clinical research workflows within the ERP/CTMS system implementation project. The incumbent collaborates closely with the ERP Implementation Specialist, who is responsible for managing the request for proposal and the migration to the new system.

The incumbent in the CTMS position ensures that the CMI’s financial and operational processes — including budgeting, Fair Market Value (FMV), invoicing, coverage analysis, and reconciliation — are properly defined, configured, tested, and adopted.

General Duties Reports to: CIM Director (collaborate closely with Finance Business Partner Implementation Specialist)

Requirements Gathering (25%)

  • Define CIM’s requirements for CTMS integration with ERP, including budgeting, FMV, and coverage analysis,
  • Translate research workflows into technical specifications for system design,
  • Support ERP Specialist during vendor evaluation and RFP as a specialist.

System Configuration & Integration (35%)

  • Collaborate with ERP team to configure CTMS modules for FMV-compliant budgeting and coverage analysis-based billing logic,
  • Ensure workflows enforce sponsor versus standard-of-care cost separation,
  • Validate CTMS-ERP integration for financial and HR processes.

Testing & Validation (25%)

  • Design and execute test cases for clinical workflows (patient logs, visit billing, sponsor invoicing),
  • Validate sponsor billing reports against FMV benchmarks and coverage analysis mappings,
  • Coordinate UAT for CIM and document outcomes.

Training, SOPs & Adoption (15%)

  • Develop CIM-specific training, SOPs, and user job aids for FMV and coverage analysis processes in CTMS,
  • Deliver training sessions and change management support,
  • Monitor KPIs post-implementation to ensure compliance and adoption.

Education / Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Field of Study: Health Informatics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field,

Work Experience: 5+ years of experience with system implementations in clinical research or healthcare.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of CTMS workflows, FMV, coverage analysis, and research billing practices,
  • Familiarity with standard medical coding systems (diagnosis and procedure codes) for research budgeting and compliance workflows,
  • Experience participating in ERP or CTMS RFP/vendor processes,
  • Excellent collaboration skills, able to represent CIM in enterprise projects,
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred.

Additional information

Status : Full time (1-2 year mandate).

Pay Scale : $55,692.00 to $103,412.40. Commensurate with education & work experience.

Work Shift : 8:30 a.m. to 4:30p.m., Mondays to Fridays (35hours/week).

Work Site : Glen Site and Montreal General Hospital.
