Position Overview
We require a full-time permanent Group Sales Coordinator to assist our Revenue & Sales team. The Group Sales Coordinator is responsible for efficiently managing group bookings, coordinating events, facilitating communication across departments, handling inquiries, and supporting the revenue team through report generation to ensure successful group sales operations.
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 yearly
Shifts: Full-time, Permanent, Weekend Availability
Location: Canmore or Calgary
Key Responsibilities:
Group Booking Coordination:
- Efficiently manage guestroom blocks, overseeing pick-up numbers, reservation methods, billing, and VIP guest arrangements.
- Address group inquiries, facilitate bookings, and organize site visits.
- Manage FIT reservations, ensuring a smooth process.
- Cultivate positive relationships with travel agents and tour operators to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
Event Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate event details with clients, ensuring timely execution and meeting deadlines.
- Foster communication with various departments, including the front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
- Serve as the main point of contact for group inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
Revenue Support and Reporting:
- Support the revenue team by producing daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Proven experience in sales coordination or related roles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and various internal departments.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and hotel operations.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to address and resolve inquiries promptly.
- Proficient in generating and analyzing revenue reports using relevant software.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in managing guestroom blocks and event coordination.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of FIT reservations and experience in maintaining positive relationships with travel agents and tour operators is a plus.
