Position Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 3rd Year Apprentice Welder to join our team on either the morning or afternoon shift. In this role, you will support the fabrication team by performing GTAW (TIG) welding on light gauge materials, while continuing to develop your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Afternoon Shift - 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
Key Responsibilities
Assist with and perform GTAW (TIG) welding on light gauge steel, aluminum, and stainless steel Support FCAW and GMAW welding operations as required Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications Follow established procedures to ensure weld quality meets required standards Assist with preventative maintenance of welding equipment Inspect welds with guidance to ensure accuracy, strength, and consistency Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets Continuously develop welding skills under the guidance of Journeyman welders
Required Education & Qualifications
Registered 3rd Year Apprentice Welder Hands-on experience with GTAW (TIG) welding; exposure to FCAW and GMAW is an asset Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (with supervision as needed) Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Willingness to work overtime (weekdays/weekends) as required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Experience operating shears and press brakes is considered an asset
