About the role
As a Team Lead within the Accessory Development engineering department, you will be responsible for technical and people management of a team of engineers and technicians. You'll play a key role in the development of accessories for Can-Am 3WV/2WV vehicles and Sea-Doo products, ensuring the delivery of high-performance, reliable and integrated products right from the first iteration.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Supervise a development team (engineers and technicians) to achieve project objectives.
Promote inter-departmental collaboration to ensure development is right the first time.
Work with vehicle teams to integrate accessories into current and future platforms.
Ensure the follow-up of deliverables within the New Product Development (NPD) process.
Represent the team during presentations to various decision-making bodies.
Identify risks and opportunities related to the performance, quality, cost, and reliability of accessories.
Monitor operating and investment budgets in collaboration with management.
Work closely with the Procurement, Quality, Design, and Marketing teams.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including the management of multiple projects.
Bilingualism in both written and spoken French and English.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and priority management skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Innovation and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally (testing and validation).
