About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Bar Mill Maintenance, the Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for the electrical maintenance in the Bar Mill facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the electrical team in the safe execution of electrical maintenance tasks as well as improvement projects. This person will be responsible for the efficient and effective use of all area electrical employees and other resources under their supervision.
Responsibilities

Manage a crew of electricians while ensuring compliance to all company and legislated safety codes and practices.

Accountable for day-to-day and long-term electrical support of the area including timely electrical repairs, execution of down day maintenance activities, identifying and implementation of corrective actions following failures, and driving the continuous improvement process.

Manage and ensure successful completion of electrical work during scheduled plant shutdowns.

Support continuous development of electrical maintenance systems and procedures, preventative maintenance (PM) plans, condition-based inspection strategies, and standard repair plans.

Identify areas for improvement and initiate the development and deployment of projects to address these issues.

Manage employee attendance and performance.

Manage and supervise various contractors.

Schedule and task load workers.
-
Ensure crew training is compliant.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Journeyman Electrician Certification or post-secondary education with an Electrical Technologist focus.

Minimum 3-5 years in a Supervisory capacity

Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
-
Preferably experience in an industrial maintenance environment
-
Proficiency in MS office applications (word, excel, etc.)

Eager to learn and take on new challenges

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Sound judgment and problem solving abilities
-
Able to organize, set priorities and work to tight deadlines
-
Positive, team-based attitude
-
Crane inspector/experience an asset
-
Instrumentation experience an asset
-
Ability to interpret and redline drawings
-
Experience isolating, maintaining, and repairing high voltage systems (>5KV)

Report on schedule and budget compliance
Details
- Full-time, permanent opportunity
- 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday
- Benefits and pension package; Overtime at 1.5X
