Currently, we have an opening for a Rock Tools Technician / Warehouse Technician. This position is responsible for supporting Rock Tools operations while assisting with warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material distribution. What you will be doing
Rock Tools Responsibilities Manage Rock Tools inventory and track all new issues, discards, and losses. Repair and maintain Rock Tools to defined specifications. Operate Rock Tools equipment, including CME grinding equipment and hammer rebuilds. Utilize the Rock Tools Management System to monitor and report tool performance. Troubleshoot tooling issues and provide technical recommendations. Report improper tool usage or selection by operators. Complete accurate time records, technical reports, and failure reports. Deliver Rock Tools products to customers as required. Build strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
Warehouse Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials in a timely manner. Prepare and coordinate shipping and receiving activities. Process sales orders and invoices. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock control. Update and maintain warehouse location systems. Coordinate freight shipments using approved carriers. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse. Perform other duties as assigned.
Environmental Health and Safety
Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer, or industry regulations. Identify and report unsafe work practices, incidents, and near misses. Perform "Take Five" risk assessments before each task. Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition. Attend all required Environmental, Health and Safety training. Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
What you will bring along
Completion of Secondary School (High School). Previous warehouse, inventory, mechanical, or mining experience is considered an asset. Experience operating forklifts is considered an asset. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn Rock Tools repair and maintenance. Experience using computerized inventory management systems is considered an asset. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team. Good written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office). Valid driver's licence in good standing. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
