About the role
Carpenter (Journeyman or Red Seal)
Monk Renovations (www.monkreno.com) primary focus is residential renovations, which are typically, bathrooms, kitchen, basements & additions.
Qualifications: Duties as a Carpenter include, providing carpentry services for various residential clients and being physically capable of completing these duties: o Demolition, Framing, Insulation o Drywall (Hang/Mud & Tape) & Painting o Flooring (Tile/Hardwood/Laminate/LVT) o Trim, Interior Doors & Cabinets o Minor Plumbing, Minor Electrical
Organize materials and labour (own & subcontracted) for various renovations projects. Coordinate material delivery as may be required, communicate with client and crews the details of the project, supervise the completion of the work (on time & on budget).
Benefits/Compensation
- Pay Rate: $35-40/hr based on a typical 40-45 hr work week
- Vacation Pay: 4% Accrued and paid on vacation days
- Cell Phone: $20/mo. for use of personal cell phone for company business
- Medical/Dental: 50/50 cost share program
- Pension: 50/50 shared plan, MONK pays matches up to 3% of gross wages
- Truck Allowance: $600/mo. For use of personal, (1/2 ton) trucks only
- Mileage: $0.55/km based on mileage logs
- Tools: $0.50/hr will be paid for use of personal tools
- Start: Immediate / Permanent Full Time Must Have:
- Residential Carpentry Experience, as noted above
- Valid Canadian Drivers License
- Ability to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen or Valid Work Visa)
- Own Tools (Hand & Power Tools)
- Own Reliable Vehicle, preferably a truck
