About the role

The Granite Club is looking for a full time Athletics Coordinator who will be responsible for attending to the Sports Desk activities of the Athletic Division; primarily accessibility for Member inquiries. These responsibilities are to be performed in addition to the provision of administrative support to various Athletic sections.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greeting of Members and guests to the Club, answering the telephone and booking of courts and programs located at the Sports Desk
  • Provide exceptional Member service at all times while on shift
  • Coordinate and register Members for programs and events in all Athletic sections
  • Provide information pertaining to programs, camps and clinics with regards to any course prerequisites and/or level of play required to participate
  • Understand and provide information to the membership with regards to the rules and regulations as they pertain to all athletic sections
  • Ensure House Rules are monitored and communicated to Members.
  • Assist management in compiling data for the purpose of utilization/usage reporting, analyzing of programs/events and ensuring compliance with Club policies and procedures
  • Assist in building/editing of programs and events into NorthStar
  • Point of sales for all Sports Desk transactions
  • Assist in promotion of all Athletic programs and events
  • Assist Members in on-line booking of programs and courts
  • Monitor Section communication boards to ensure postings and information is current
  • Update Tennis Court Condition update line, during spring and summer months
  • Administrative support to various Athletic sections
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • College or university degree an asset.
  • Knowledge of athletic sections and sports an asset.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications an asset. Training will be provided if not certified.
  • Flexibility to work morning, afternoon and evening shifts as assigned; including weekends and holidays
  • Previous knowledge of NorthStar and Microsoft applications an asset
  • Excellent communication, administrative and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handles multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
  • Team oriented, enthusiastic, creative, well-groomed, pleasant telephone manner, reliable, punctual.
