Role Description The Business Development Manager/Outside Sales is a full-time hybrid role based in Milton, ON, with some flexibility to work from home. This role focuses on developing and expanding TransPro’s customer base for cross-border dry-van and refrigerated freight services, including both truckload and LTL solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying prospects, conducting in-person and virtual sales meetings, and delivering tailored sales presentations that highlight TransPro’s value proposition and service capabilities. The Outside Sales Associate will build and maintain long-term customer relationships, manage a sales pipeline, prepare quotations, and negotiate pricing and service terms in line with company guidelines. The role also involves collaborating with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding, problem resolution, and ongoing account growth, while consistently tracking activities and results in CRM and sales reporting tools. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Sales Presentations and Communication to clearly convey service offerings and negotiate with clients. Strong Relationship Building and Customer Service abilities to foster trust, manage accounts, and support long-term partnerships. Proven New Business Development experience, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing new freight opportunities. Knowledge of transportation, logistics, or freight services (truckload, LTL, cross-border) is an asset. Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to manage in-person visits in Milton, ON and remote responsibilities from home. Solid organizational and time-management skills, including pipeline management and CRM usage. Self-motivated, goal-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a sales team. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for customer meetings; post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or a related field is an advantage.
