JOB SUMMARY

The Logistics Coordinator carries out scheduling, dispatching, and coordinating activities of independent delivery teams, ensuring the day is set up for success. Other responsibilities include promoting an exceptional customer service experience while achieving on-time delivery performance.

SHIFT: Monday to Friday 2pm - 10:30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring the timely and efficient movement of units, coordinating shipments, and tracking deliveries.
  • Handling, organizing, and storing relevant documentation such as keeping the vendor BOLs, generating inbound and outbound BOLs, get the signed copies from the drivers.
  • Implementing and overseeing quality control measures to ensure that units meet specified standards.
  • Developing and implementing induction procedures for new logistics team members or employees, ensuring they understand company policies and procedures.
  • Addressing and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the logistics process, including delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and partners.
  • Addressing any logistical challenges that may arise during the induction program promptly and effectively.
  • Implementing solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics process.
  • Coordinating and dispatching freight at pre-determined distribution centers.
  • Ensuring all inbounds/outbounds are covered by facilitating change requests and ensuring coverage for late or absent floor personnel.
  • Assisting carriers with delivery challenges and communicating changes to service requirements
  • Monitor daily delivery ‘board’ and follow up on performance results and responsibilities.
  • Handle returned products in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Trace orders as required and notify appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain good working relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders by responding to all inquiries and complaints.
  • Ensuring all dock audits are completed in a timely manner and make sure that the trailers are locked as per safety SOPs.
  • Ensuring that the Induction tracker and EOD is complete, and site roll out forms are filled for all the inbounds/outbounds.
  • Manage and prioritize email correspondence efficiently.

EDUCATION

  • Completion of secondary school or college or equivalent business administration experience is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Related organizational experience would be an asset.
  • Forklift experience would be an asset.
  • Proven bilingual communication skills both verbal and written (French and English)
  • Knowledge of logistics and planning systems.
  • Familiarity with computer system hardware and software.
  • Exceptional analysis and reporting skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group.
  • Must work with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, French an asset.
