The challenges that await you

Reporting to your supervisor, you are responsible for collaborating, developing, and deploying the actions under your responsibility that are necessary to highlight the successes of the territory and the achievements of Laval Economic. Supporting each of the divisions, you ensure a web watch aimed at identifying companies looking for new locations. You contribute to the monitoring activities, digital communications of our activities, and special projects to increase the awareness and image of Laval Economic as a reference for the business community and for the economic sector. You will be tasked with developing economic content across the various platforms of Laval Economic.

In this capacity, you are particularly responsible for designing, writing, and producing, in collaboration with experts, both internal (e.g., commissioners and advisors of Laval Economic, communications and marketing advisors) and external (e.g., consultants), various economic content for the different dissemination platforms such as the website, social media, newsletters, and managing registrations for activities, etc. Your role also involves supporting the organization's activities, deepening the understanding of Laval's ecosystems, and feeding the awareness exercises of various stakeholders and public authorities. You ensure the quality of your deliverables both in terms of writing and brand image while respecting the legislative framework applicable to the platforms.

And more specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and writing varied economic content (articles, promotional documents, blog posts, social media publications, briefs for press releases, invitations for events and training, interactive dialogue with the ecosystem, newsletters, etc.) and ensuring the narrative framework is optimized to reach target audiences;
  • Coordinating all stages of the monthly economic bulletin within the established timeline. Participating in the establishment of a content calendar, writing, and ensuring quality and a professional tone. Contributing to the deployment and renewal of content (especially events, training, and other modifications on the Laval Economic website).
  • Developing and maintaining a network of internal resources capable of informing you about the achievements of the territory, businesses, partners, or other organizations relevant to the fulfillment of your mandate;
  • Working proactively with the Laval Economic team to identify topics aimed at improving Laval's attractiveness, ensuring a good understanding of needs and objectives, proposing and developing enhancement actions.

The ideal profile for us

  • Holding a bachelor's degree in communication or another relevant field;
  • Having four (4) to less than six (6) years of relevant experience;
  • Having experience in an economic-focused organization and in professional writing are significant assets;
  • Very good mastery of MS Office software, mainly PowerPoint (intermediate or expert level);
  • Very good writing and communication skills in French;
  • Excellent ability to use and adapt to various digital promotion platforms.
