COMPANY DESCRIPTION The Steel Guys is an established, structural & miscellaneous steel shop. This is a high-stress and fast-paced work environment and we are looking for people who excel in these situations.
JOB DESCRIPTION As a fitter it is your job to assemble and prepare beams, columns, canopies, rails, stairs, and platforms, among other items, to be delivered to the job site. All parts and other material required to do this will be fed to you and you must be able to quickly and accurately complete the task at hand and move on to the next.
QUALIFICATIONS Experience is absolutely required. If you do not have fitting experience, do not apply for this position. At least 2 years preferred - being a certified CWB welder is a plus. While you must know how to work this position, experience does not guarantee employment. Meeting our schedules on the jobs we are working to complete often rest on the shoulders of our fitters and you must not only have experience but be more than competent at this position. It is also imperative that you are a team player. Must be willing and able to work with teams of people toward a common objective.
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $19.41-$37.00 per hour
