YOUR ROLE
Forklift
- Perform tasks related to the use of a forklift, such as moving merchandise within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts, perform minor maintenance, and make repairs as needed.
- Prepare orders awaiting truck arrival.
- Supply conveyors.
Truck Shunter
- Move trucks within the yard and to nearby buildings.
- Move trailers in the yard and back them into designated loading/unloading docks.
- Ensure trailers are positioned safely.
- Load and unload trucks.
DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
- Holding a valid class 1 license is required for articulated truck drivers.
- Proficiency in spoken French or English.
- Experience in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform manual tasks such as coupling and uncoupling trailers.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures for each piece of equipment used.
- Follow forklift and truck operation procedures.
- Ability to move boxes.
- Demonstrate accuracy.
- Be courteous and polite at all times.
