Maintenance/Reliability Supervisor
About the role
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance/Reliability Supervisor is responsible for the daily and long-term maintenance operations of the plant, parts inventory, and maintenance workers while maintaining and upholding all food safety and OHS guidelines.

Annual Salary: $77,000 - $79,000

Actively involved in the supervision and people management of the day Mechanics.

Develop and maintain capable and effective employees in the maintenance functions, ensuring training and proper competency and certification.

Coordinate with the Maintenance Planner to plan and schedule maintenance employees daily and long-term workload. Hold regular scheduled backlog meeting to ensure the necessary work is completed on time and act completion times are correct.

Schedule and complete equipment PM’s in advance to ensure correct work orders and parts are available. Ensure team are completion their work orders after complete.

Ensure department works within the maintenance budget.

Attend daily meetings (LSW, shop, production, and engineering) in order to resolve issues, identify needs.

Paperwork (timekeeping – entering employee timecards, create and receive Purchase Orders, create and close Work Orders, provide information for Balance Scorecard.

Successful Mechanical repair and improvement tasks and projects

Identifying opportunities for additional improvement tasks/projects.

Employee is obligated to work safely and report unsafe acts or conditions immediately. Employee is expected to practice the highest level of due diligence, requiring them to take all reasonable steps to protect themselves and others from harm.

All employees have an obligation to report any safety, food safety or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate corrective measures.

Certification and/or experience in Predictive Maintenance, Vibration Analysis, and/or Lubrication Analysis would be strong assets” to the requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment

Industrial Red Seal Mechanical Related Certification would be an asset.

Background in Mechanical Engineering

Supervisory or management experience in maintenance

Knowledge of food industry regulations

Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and equipment maintenance

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and commitment to safety protocols.
