Job Summary
The Security Officer Role is to protect overall resort assets including patrons, guests, and employees by observing all activity, deterring potential problem situations, and reporting out of the ordinary activity while maintaining confidentiality. Security Officers oversee and assist and implement all emergency response plans ensuring all situations are handled in the best way, so no one is hurt, and everyone is out of harms-way.
Qualifications And Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily while seeing the big picture and or other occurrences within resort. Security Officers need to possess skills such as flexibility and adaptability to meet the ever-changing needs of the resort while maintaining a high level of dependability. Shift work is required within our 24/7 operation.
A Valid Manitoba Security License Will Be Required.
We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the successful applicant must be available to work various shifts and holidays.

About (CAHRD) Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development Inc.
Established in 1974, CAHRD is Winnipeg's Leading Indigenous Employment and Training Agency. CAHRD offers comprehensive services to Indigenous jobseekers that can lead directly to employment through job preparation (interview skills, resume workshops, job referrals) or by creating a strategy for employment through further education and training.
Employment Services Employment Counsellors assist Indigenous clients to find employment and/or enter education and training through career exploration, employment readiness, job search and referrals to education and training. Staffing Solutions offers customized employment assistance to both clients and employers to ensure a positive employment outcome.
Education and Training CAHRD’s education and post-secondary training services are delivered through the Neeginan Learning & Literacy Centre (NLLC), Aboriginal Community Campus (ACC) and the Neeginan College of Applied Technology. Synergies between all of these programs provide Aboriginal learners with a seamless transition from literacy and upgrading, through post-secondary training and to sustainable employment. CAHRD provides a holistic approach to education through individualized Support Services, including access to employment, academic and personal counselling. We also offer student housing, on-site subsidized daycare, and health and wellness activities.
Aboriginal People with Disabilities Program Employment Counsellors offer assistance to urban Indigenous people with disabilities. These customized services include access to employment or training programs, and referrals to outside agencies with disability programs and services.
