About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of site personnel, including flights and accommodation.
- Maintain accurate site records, including timesheets, rosters, and personnel files.
- Provide administrative support to site management and project teams.
- Manage procurement and inventory of office supplies and site consumables.
- Liaise with head office for payroll & HR related matters.
- Ensure compliance with site safety protocols and assist with incident reporting.
- Support onboarding of new staff and contractors, including inductions and compliance checks.
- Assist with reporting and data entry for project tracking and performance metrics.
- Preparation of expense reports
- Miscellaneous
- Adhere to all corporate and project policy, processes and procedures.
- Stay up to date on training as per corporate safety & cyber security programs.
- Perform other projects and/or duties as directed by the Office Manager or Project Manager.
- The duties outlined herein are intended to be the minimum duties expected of you by Thyssen Mining.
- You are expected to use your discretion to expand upon these duties to ensure that your job mandate is met and that your performance aligns with the general spirit and intent of the duties outlined above.
- You are expected to devote your best efforts to advance the interests of the employer and to perform your duties to the best of your skill and ability, as required by Thyssen Mining, under and subject to Thyssen Mining’s instruction, direction and control.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration or a related field is a plus.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a FIFO or remote site environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and site management software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document handling.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to a drug/alcohol screening.
