Under the direction of the Principal of Special Education and Student Services. The Itinerant Educational Assistant (CDA) supports the implementation of strategies and/or an action plan developed by team members in collaboration with school staff.
Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge And Skills
Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma; two years of related work experience; the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; initiative, judgment and discretion; And excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and flexibility to adapt to a variety of challenges. Individuals must possess a valid Driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to travel
In Addition, The Following Will Be Considered An Asset
knowledge of and experience in supporting elementary and high school students with social-emotional learning needs, speech and language delays, augmentative and alternative communication needs, Autism Spectrum disorders and behavioural challenges; experience in developing materials and resources, modeling interventions and strategies, educational coaching and current educational and augmentative and alternative communication technologies; Experience developing and providing professional development to a varied educational and clinical audience; collection of data for therapeutic progress monitoring ; the ability to provide input and feedback to the Speech Language Pathologist, regarding set therapy goals ; Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
This is a 10-month permanent position with an annual salary range of $56,531 to $60,859 .
The effective date is approximately August 27, 2026.
