Description This position is an experienced Territory Manager field-based sales position covering Alberta. The candidate needs to be a positive self-starter and will report to the Vice President of Sales - Canada. The primary purpose is to support and grow Southmedic business in the respective territory through education, consultation, and customer service. Responsibilities include selling medical devices and services in the acute care sector with a primary focus in the Operating Room, Respiratory/Anesthesia and MDR environment. Southmedic’s product portfolio is diversified and requires significant knowledge of a variety of specialties and the business can take the Territory Manager into a different area of the hospital.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a territory business plan and effectively implement sales strategy to facilitate the purchase of our products.
- Establish a thorough understanding of product line features and benefits.
- Develop in-depth clinical knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to product line.
- Manage leads with customers within a defined territory.
- Build relationships with hospital staff, specifically Surgeons and Operating Room Nurses to establish trust and reliability.
- Educate medical staff including one-on-one teaching during surgical procedures utilizing our medical devices.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical support.
- Communicate between sales, marketing, and support teams to improve the customer experience.
- Provide administrative requests from home office such as CRM, opportunity pipelines, expense reports, and sales reports review.
- Represent Southmedic at Regional/National Medical Device Trade Shows/Conferences.
Education / Experience
- Possess a bachelor’s degree, emphasis in Life Sciences, Medicine, Business or related.
- Medical Device Sales experience required with Operating Room Medical Device Sales preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and effectiveness.
- Ability to work outside of regular working hours.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word.
- Ability to work independently.
Working Environment
- Hospitals with a focus in the Operating Room environment.
- Frequent sitting, walking, standing.
- Frequent requirement for hand/eye coordination to use/operate equipment/devices.
- Considerable interpersonal communication oral and written as well as communications through electronic formats.
- Physical effort required by occasionally handling objects up to 50 pounds while in the field.
- Must have personal vehicle and driver’s license in good standing to cover territory.
- Must comply with hospital vendor policies including vaccination requirements.
Wage Range: $150,000-$225,000
