About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lead, Permitting and Reporting candidate works collaboratively with the team to ensure compliance with reporting and permitting requirements stipulated by regulatory instruments, legislation and approvals. They will provide on-site environmental training, awareness and direction to environmental staff and other site personnel. This role will be based at our Sudbury Office on a Monday- Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:

Permit Management: Review project schedules to identify permitting needs, coordinate necessary studies, and track progress via registers and management systems.

Regulatory Compliance: Determine Life of Mine regulatory requirements and monitor legislative changes to assess impacts on current and future site approvals.

Reporting & Submissions: Lead the development of provincial and federal regulatory reports and prepare submissions alongside technical teams and consultants.

Environmental Planning: Maintain and update environmental management and monitoring plans while coordinating all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.

Stakeholder Consultation: Partner with Community Relations to develop consultation strategies for stakeholders and rights holders, following the Indigenous Consultation Plan.

Expert Liaison: Serve as a professional advisor on environmentally sensitive scopes and act as the primary point of contact for provincial and federal regulators.

Process Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to improve governance, resolve inefficiencies, and implement solutions-driven operational improvements.

Collaborative Excellence: Commit to continuous learning and work cross-functionally to troubleshoot problems while managing risk across throughput, time, quality, and sustainability.
QualificationsKey Skills & Knowledge:
- Post-secondary degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, or other related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of environmental and mining-related experience.
Skills & Strengths, We Value:
- Regulatory Proficiency: knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation
- Environmental Monitoring & Data Analysis: Expertise in designing monitoring programs
- Project Management experience considered an asset
