About the role

Position: IT Security Analyst V – Consultant Duration: 3-month assignment (contract) Client Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week: Tuesday & Thursday) Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only) About the Engagement Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced IT Security Analyst V consultant to support IT and cybersecurity audit initiatives within a large enterprise environment. The engagement involves evaluating and assessing IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. This role is critical in identifying risks, strengthening security posture, and supporting governance and compliance frameworks. Services to be Provided Plan and conduct comprehensive IT and cybersecurity audits across enterprise environments. Assess compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT, as well as applicable regulations. Identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in IT systems, infrastructure, and security controls. Analyze audit findings and prepare detailed reports with actionable insights for stakeholders. Provide recommendations to enhance IT governance, risk management, and compliance practices. Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement corrective actions and strengthen security measures. Conduct risk assessments and contribute to the development of risk mitigation strategies. Stay informed on emerging cybersecurity threats, audit practices, and regulatory updates. Utilize governance, risk, and compliance tools (including Archer) for audit execution and reporting. Expertise Required 8+ years of senior-level experience in IT auditing, IT risk management, and cybersecurity controls assessment. Strong experience planning and executing technical audits across technology, information security, and risk domains. Hands-on experience with Archer or similar GRC platforms. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data analytics tools. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and security principles. Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards (ISO, NIST, COBIT, etc.). Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Important This is a business-to-business engagement. Candidates must represent an incorporated entity, hold a valid business number, maintain appropriate insurance, and invoice for services rendered.

Nice to Have Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC. Experience in large enterprise or regulated industry environments. Familiarity with advanced data analytics or audit automation tools.
