Great Blue Resorts owns and operates 10 private resort lakefront properties located throughout Ontario’s cottage country. These properties offer outright ownership of beautiful pre-manufactured seasonal recreational cottages. Our resorts have full facilities including community areas, swimming pools, splash pads, multi-sports courts, playgrounds and beaches.
Grounds and Property Maintenance Crew Role Overview
A Great Blue Resorts Property Crew is responsible for participating in all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the Resorts facilities and maintaining the resort to a clean, safe and well-maintained standard which enhances owner and guest enjoyment. The goal is to ensure the resort facilities are well cared for and adequate to support the resorts’ business operations.
Responsibilities
The Property Crew role is to ensure the Corporate Objectives of maximizing profitability and Owner, Guest & Staff happiness of the resort, through high standards of service utilizing Survey scores and other tools. The Property Crew achieves performance excellence through Profitability, Owner & Guest Happiness, People, Property and Administration.
The Property Maintenance Crew responsibility will include but not limited to the following:
- Grounds maintenance
a. All grass cutting, gardening and snow removal, within the resort, to maintain a positive customer experience.
b. Perform daily checks of all areas of the resort during peak season to identify and rectify areas of concern.
c. General clean up including raking leaves, debris removal, garbage removal, and maintaining washrooms
d. All greens maintenance (mowing the grass, weed whacking, trimming trees and bushes, tending to gardens etc.)
e. Grass Cutting, trimming
f. Aerification, fertilizing, irrigation
g. Safe operation of ground maintenance equipment and timely completion of maintenance records
- Property maintenance
a. Grounds, Gates Water supply, Electrical and Septic Systems
b. Works closely with the Development team to execute development plan.
a. 100% compliance with Health & Safety requirements
b. Facilities management including Beach, Boats, Marina, Docks, Multi court, Playground, Pool, Splash Pad
c. Maintenance of equipment
d. Keep up on owner requested billable maintenance jobs
e. Beach maintenance
- Customer Service
a. Providing friendly and professional service to customers and owners
b. Giving directions, recommendations, and problem solving
c. Building a positive customer relationship with repeat and new guests
Skills/Requirements
- Prior experience with maintenance, grass cutting, landscaping, repairs, groundskeeping, manual labour, or related field is a large asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have G2 or G Drivers License
- Comfortable working outdoors in differing weather conditions
- Comfortable working independently
- Must have the physical dexterity to lift upwards 50 pounds for short periods of time.
